QUIKRETE, a leading producer of packaged products, is seeking a full time employee's Purchasing Specialist at our corporate office in Johns Creek, GA. Keep in mind this is an ON-SITE / FULL-TIME position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out the purchasing processes necessary to provide the proper goods and services, as required by operations, on a timely, competitive, and cost-effective basis
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather requisition details and convert them into purchase orders.
  • Accurately input purchase-related data into the procurement system.
  • Efficiently process incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as equipment, tools, parts, and supplies
  • Provide updates on purchase order and invoice status to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of purchasing transactions, ensuring compliance with retention policies.
  • Manage and record all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Ensure inventory levels of all items purchased are in accordance with established purchasing practices.
  • Prepare and execute purchasing plans
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • 4 year degree in Business / Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Purchasing / Supply Chain position is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet specific goals and deadlines
  • Ability to develop key supplier relationships
  • Ability to plan and coordinate the procurement, scheduling, storage, and inventory control
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.
  • Must have strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Must have good communication skills and work well with colleagues.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
