The SR400 Express Lanes Project is a transformative $4.6 billion infrastructure initiative led by SR400 Constructors, a 50/50 joint venture between Ferrovial Dragados and ACCIONA. Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit
5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia’s busiest corridors. With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and significant improvements to the corridor. Construction began in late 2022, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the flow of fuel, equipment, materials, and support services across the SR400 Express Lanes corridor. This role oversees fuel receiving and dispatching, equipment transport and mobilization, rental inspections, fuel and equipment location tracking, and mechanic support. The Logistics Supervisor serves as the primary liaison between field operations and outside suppliers and plays a critical role in keeping equipment fueled, properly positioned, and operational across an active, multi-segment construction corridor.

Fuel

Receiving & Dispatching
  • Verify delivered fuel quantities against supplier bills of lading and confirm fuel grade/type before offloading.
  • Inspect deliveries for contamination and log tank levels pre- and post-delivery to identify discrepancies.
  • Set and monitor reorder thresholds to prevent fuel shortages; reconcile draws against equipment utilization.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel condition, quality checks, and tank/unit levels by location.
  • Maintain a current location record for all fuel assets and mobile equipment across the corridor.
  • Track fuel transactions for all slip tanks and project fuel trucks.
Equipment Transport & Mobilization
  • Schedule low-boy, and flatbeds transport equipment and material, coordinate DOT permits if needed
  • Sequence mobilization and demobilization of equipment between work segments to align with the phasing schedule and minimize idle rental/ownership days.
  • Maintain a live mobilization tracker (unit, origin, destination, date, etc).
Equipment Tracking and Inspections
  • Conduct and document rental start inspections, including photos, hour-meter readings, fuel level, safety equipment, and rental company sign-off. Label equipment upon delivery and confirm the serial number against the purchase order.
  • Conduct matching inspections at rental return; document new damage, final hour meter, and fuel level to prevent disputed billing.
  • Check equipment needs at other project locations before calling off rentals to optimize utilization and control costs.
  • Track the usage and location for owned equipment on a daily basis for end of month billing.
  • Monitor the operator inspections log, and identify service priorities
Mechanic Support (Internal & External)
  • Coordinate parts, fuel, and equipment access to support internal mechanics and minimize repair downtime.
  • Coordinate site access and safety orientation for external repair vendors; verify scope, rates, and completed work against POs before approving invoices.
Operations-Supplier Liaison
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between field operations and fuel, rental, and parts suppliers.
  • Translate field urgency into supplier action (expedited deliveries, emergency parts, rental swaps).
  • Document and accelerate recurring supplier performance issues to procurement; relay field schedule changes to suppliers proactively.
Required Skills And Competencies
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in fleet, equipment, or administrative support, preferably in construction.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Valid driver's license.
