Role Summary

Own the P&L, growth, and day‑to‑day operations of the Oak Stone CME business (and adjacent health content lines). This VP blends commercial leadership (B2C e‑commerce + B2B institutional sales) with production & accreditation operations to drive profitable growth. The leader will optimize marketing (incl. outsourced execution), modernize digital products, and ensure bulletproof ACCME/AMA compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1) P&L Ownership & Operating Rhythm

  • Deliver annual plan: revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and cash targets.
  • Run a weekly operating cadence across sales, marketing, product/content, finance, and operations (production, LMS, accreditation).
  • Institutional/B2B: build relationships with health systems, medical groups, residency programs, and payors; negotiate bulk/content licensing; manage enterprise pipeline and renewals.

3) Marketing & eCommerce (Execution via internal + outsourced teams)

  • Set strategy and hold vendors accountable for paid search (Google/Microsoft), SEO/CRO, email/SMS, affiliate, creative, and analytics.
  • Approve monthly testing roadmaps; reallocate budgets to maximize ROAS/CAC; ensure transparent, platform‑direct media billing.
  • Oversee catalog/merchandising and landing‑page performance on the commerce platform.
  • Prioritize the roadmap across enduring CME, board review, micro‑learning, and new specialties.
  • Ensure content quality (faculty, peer review) and timely release/expiration management; expand credit types (ABIM/ABFM/ABP MOC, etc.).
  • Partner with medical editors and production to transform long‑form lectures into multi‑module, accessible digital products (captions, transcripts, handouts).

5) Accreditation, Compliance & Risk

  • Maintain full compliance with ACCME Standards for Integrity & Independence and AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ requirements; oversee disclosures/COI, learning objectives, evaluations, outcomes, recordkeeping, and audits.
Qualifications
  • 10–15+ years in CME/medical education or closely related health content businesses; 5+ years owning a P&L or running a business unit.
  • Proven track record scaling DTC e‑commerce and/or institutional sales in CME/ed‑tech/medical publishing.
  • Deep familiarity with ACCME/AMA PRA and (preferably) MOC programs (ABIM/ABFM/ABP, etc.).
  • Strong vendor management and contracting skills; comfort with global/outsourced operating models.

Excellent cross‑functional leadership with clinicians, SMEs, editors, marketing, and engineering
