Position Summary

Overnight Stocking Coach, Non-Complex.

• Lead and develop teams by teaching training, actively listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback.
• Communicate and collaborate with all associate levels on store operations, technology, merchandising, and company initiatives, and introduce and lead company change efforts.
• Model and demonstrate exceptional customer‑service standards using the One Best Way (OBW) model; manage and support customer‑service initiatives and resolve customer complaints.
• Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing PL statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses; ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes; mitigate shrink.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set expectations, and recognize achievements; promote a culture of belonging.
• Coordinate job‑related activities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and measure progress toward goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, support the Open Door Policy, and provide guidance on ethical and integrity standards.
• Build high‑performing teams, embrace differences, and foster an inclusive workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
• Act in a self‑less and honest manner, support Walmart’s goal of becoming a regenerative company, and serve customers and members with a customer‑first mindset.

• 2 years of college; or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training for facilities that sell firearms.
• Completion of current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility for facilities that sell only ammunition and have state‑specific requirements.
• Completion of all job‑required training and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership.
• Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
