The Defectivity Service at STMicroelectronics is responsible for the online quality control of the production of microelectronic circuits and its continuous improvement. The daily operations of the service are managed by an Intranet application (PHP, JS, Jquery) with an Oracle database in the back end.

The goal of the internship will be to create functional documentation of the software and to make it more robust and efficient for accessing the different data sources of the company.

The internship will be supervised simultaneously by a member of the Defectivity Service and a member of the IT Service. The candidate will need strong communication skills to integrate the needs and constraints of both services.

The different missions of the internship will be:

• Analyze the weak points of the current data accesses and propose improvements
• Define with the IT Service the new solutions and develop the necessary code
• Elaborate a comprehensive technical documentation of the application
• Deploy the new version in production

Required competencies:

• Web development, PHP, JS, Jquery, SQL
