Position: Stepdown Registered Nurse | Johnson City, New York
Make a meaningful impact by providing specialized nursing care to patients experiencing complex cardiac conditions. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering expert care in a fast-paced stepdown and progressive care environment, with a particular emphasis on cardiac telemetry. The assignment spans 13 weeks and is structured around 12-hour night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, with every other weekend required.

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts

• 13-week contract

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience
• Cardiac stepdown/telemetry expertise, including management of conditions such as TAVR, Watchman implants, mitral clips, heart catheterizations, pre/post-op cardiac surgery, STEMI/NSTEMI, CP, CHF, arrhythmias, anticoagulation, cardiac drips (amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, lidocaine, milrinone, heparin, insulin)
• Experience with pre- and post-operative care following open heart surgery (after transfer out of CVICU), care of sepsis, PE, PNA, stroke, and observation patients
• Familiarity with TR band use and groin management, along with attention to potential complications
• Demonstrated ability to complete telemetry skills checklists accurately
