Position: Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,588 per week

Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for protecting, promoting, and optimizing health and abilities, preventing illness and injury, and alleviating suffering through diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy.
Accountable for compliance with New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and Bill of Patient Rights.
Promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.
Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care for a group of patients, serving as primary or accountable nurse as assigned.
Educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management.
Administers medications safely according to policy.
Shares responsibility for productivity and resource utilization including staffing, time management, supplies, and services.
Complies with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and policies.
Participates in Nursing Shared Governance Model, Unit Council, improvement initiatives, and peer review.
Engages in professional development, continuing education, and mandatory education requirements.
Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice.
Provides supportive learning environment for new employees and students.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Nursing (RN) experience of six (6) months to three (3) years.
Five plus (5) years of direct experience.
Management experience of zero (0) to three (3) years.
Collaboration skills.

Planning, organizing, and time management skills.
Problem solving abilities.
Quality focus.
Reliability.
Safety and risk management.
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Current New York State RN License required.
BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) required.
ACLS certification required.
Two or more years of Medical/Surgical telemetry experience required.
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
Preferred:
Professional certification in related nursing specialty.
Preferred:
Relevant skills certification (e.g., PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.

Schedule Information

Unit Specific Information

Med/Surg Tele Float Pool unit.
Unit-specific requirements listed in Compliance Matrix; validation required prior to candidate submission.

Additional Details

Previous clinical nursing experience in acute care or ambulatory setting preferred.
Epic experience preferred.
