The Job

We are seeking a Senior Accountant I for the Live Nation Concerts division. This role supports core accounting operations, including event and general ledger accounting, in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close process, ensuring assigned deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Maintain the general ledger and supporting balance sheet reconciliations for multiple venues.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Analyze financial results and explain significant variances.
  • Prepare and reconcile event profit and loss (P&L) reports following each event, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper supporting documentation in partnership with operations.
  • Reconcile event financial results and investigate variances between event settlements and supporting documentation.
  • Partner with the operations team to ensure timely processing of artist settlement payments.
  • Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash activity to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare information and supporting schedules for tax reporting processes.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and ensuring timely responses.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation, standardization, and continuous process improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support operational initiatives.
  • Assist with ad‑hoc reporting, financial analysis, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month‑end close processes.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and performing account reconciliations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience with Oracle, Oracle Fusion, or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting accounting for multiple entities, locations, or business units preferred.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
