The Executive Aide serves as the first point of contact for students, faculty, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office. This position manages front-desk communications, supports advising and student services activities, maintains databases and records, and assists with event coordination and operational tasks. The Executive Aide also provides backup support to other administrative staff, contributing to the efficient functioning of the college's programs and services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Proficiency in computer software, including the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel).
* Knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, and equipment.
* Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional use of business English.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
* Demonstrated administrative support abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to maintain effective working relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
* Ability to develop, maintain, and manage personnel, financial, and academic records and documents.
* Capacity to organize work, set priorities, and handle complex or confidential assignments.
* Consistent professionalism in appearance, demeanor, and interactions.
Required Qualifications
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Three (3) years of secretarial office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

College of Nursing Overview
The College of Nursing is part of the University's Academic Health Sciences Center, which also includes the James H. Quillen College of Medicine, the Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, the College of Public Health, and the College of Health Sciences. The College of Nursing is the largest in the State of Tennessee offering multiple tracks for students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs.
The Department of Undergraduate Programs is home to over 45 full-time faculty and 700 students across five (5) tracks including the Traditional BSN, Accelerated BSN (Johnson City, Kingsport, Sevierville), LPN-BSN, and RN-BSN/Dual Degree. The Department of Undergraduate Programs boasts a record of excellence with 60% of faculty holding specialty certifications and a strong record of collaboration and successful student outcomes.
All programs in the College of Nursing are fully accredited by the CCNE.
