At Streamline Contracting, we are a rapidly growing Western Australian contractor delivering high-quality civil, construction and infrastructure projects across government, commercial, industrial and resource sectors.

We are looking for a motivated estimator who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys working on a diverse range of projects from minor works to multi‑million‑dollar tenders. The candidate should be commercially minded, detail‑focused and eager to win work.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will prepare accurate, competitive, and commercially sound tenders across a broad range of construction projects. The role extends beyond estimating, involving business development, identifying opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, attending industry events, and shaping tendering strategy.

• Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and cost analysis.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Develop tender programmes and methodologies.
• Identify project risks and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Prepare tender clarifications and exclusions.
• Attend site inspections and tender meetings.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Assist with handover of successful projects to operations.

To be successful, you should have:

• Previous experience estimating construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, concrete, drainage, roads and infrastructure.
• Excellent understanding of construction methodology.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• High level Excel and estimating software skills.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Based in Western Australia.
• Australian citizen.

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
• Experience pricing government and resource sector projects.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and WA construction practices.
• Demonstrated experience using Buildsoft Cubit (Buildsoft Cubit Pro) estimating software.
