Full-time non-tenure track 9-month position, to be renewed annually contingent upon funding, available January 2026.
Essential
Job Duties:
teach an introductory education class required for all undergraduate pre-service teachers enrolled in the ETSU Clemmer College of Education and Human Development. The course is delivered through in-person and on-line formats. Key duties include preparing class lectures and activities, using various educational technologies, grading assignments, providing constructive feedback to students, a commitment to ongoing professional development in teaching and remaining current with best practices in teaching, keen awareness of educational research, policy, and trends in education, mentoring students, and participating in program and department activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms
* Demonstrated knowledge of diverse learning,
* Demonstrates skill in addressing the needs of diverse groups and a strong appreciation for the unique circumstances of each learner.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum three (3) years of experience in teaching in a PK-12 public or private school setting,
* Master's degree in a relevant field of education such as Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Psychology, Special Education, or Early Childhood Education.
* Valid/current elementary and/or secondary teacher licensure awarded by a State Department of Education,
Preferred Qualifications
* Doctorate degree in a relevant field of education such as Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Psychology, Special Education, or Early Childhood Education.
* At minimum, 4-years of full-time teaching experience in either a public or private PK-12 school setting.
* At minimum, 1 semester of teaching experience at the community college or at a four-year higher education institution.
* Demonstrated record of best teaching practices as evidenced by teaching plans, narratives, and/or letters of support that include commentary about teaching practices.
* Active participation in appropriate professional organizations and/or learned societies.
* Documented evidence of collaborative experiences with other educational practitioners and/or interested citizens on a project of mutual interest.
