Position: Simulation Skills Laboratory Coordinator (Main Campus), College of Nursing
The ETSU College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time Technician/Lab Coordinator for the Undergraduate Programs Simulation Lab.

The Simulation Technician provides hands-on technical, operational, and logistical support for nursing simulation and skills laboratory activities. This role focuses on the preparation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of simulation equipment and technologies while supporting faculty and students during skills practice and simulation-based learning.

The Simulation Technician works under the direction of simulation leadership and faculty to ensure simulation environments are safe, functional, and aligned with the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Standards of Best Practice:
Simulation℠. The position emphasizes operational readiness, technical support, and professional integrity within the simulation learning environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Knowledge of standard office computer software.

* Working knowledge of nursing skills, procedures, and related healthcare technologies.

* Knowledge of simulation and skills lab technologies, including manikins, task trainers, AV systems, and virtual simulation platforms.

* Knowledge of current simulation standards and best practices as defined by INACSL, SSH, and other nationally recognized organizations.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.

* Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and technical personnel.

* Ability to document activities and maintain accurate operational records.

* Ability to work flexible hours, including potential evenings or weekends.

* Ability to travel as required.

Required Qualifications:

* Associate degree in nursing or related field (healthcare, emergency medical services, engineering, education, bioengineering, informational technology or related discipline) OR two (2) years of related work experience OR two (2) years of college (plus any additional required experience.)

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field (healthcare, education, engineering, bioengineering, information technology, or related discipline), or equivalent experience.

* One (1)-two (2) years of experience in healthcare simulation.

* Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) and/or Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE).

* Experience in a clinical, technical, or educational setting, preferably nursing or medical education.

* Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and simulation-related software.
