Job Description
Ballad Health Corporate Finance is offering a paid student finance or accounting internship during Spring, Summer, and Fall terms to selected qualified individuals. The internship program will provide the student with relevant skills in a variety of accounting and financial functions via on-the-job training and experience.
Finance & Accounting Opportunities- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Capital Budgeting
- Monthly financial statement review and analysis
- Special projects as needed or other duties as assigned
- Escheatment/Unclaimed Property
- Physical on-site inventory counts
- Physical on-site petty cash/cash on hand audits
- Accounts Receivable cycle
- Month-end close and journal entry assistance
- Fixed Assets and Fixed Asset Audits
- Sales & Use Tax filings and Business Licenses
- Tangible Personal Property Returns
- Operating Budget review and input
- Service line scorecards
- Survey assistance and review
- Benchmarking review and analysis
- Daily volume reports
- Month-end close and journal entry assistance
- Service line specific projects and analysis
- Exposure and experience in a dynamic work environment in the healthcare industry
- Ability to apply learned knowledge in a real-world environment
- Build connections and network with established professionals in your chosen field
- Build resume experience and explore career options
- Earn while you learn in a semester-long paid internship with the possibility to extend beyond the semester
- Potential to transition to full-time position upon graduation
Must be actively enrolled in an accounting or finance program at an accredited university at the junior or senior level with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide a high level of integrity, dependability, and confidentiality. Commitment to minimum of 20 working hours per week.
