Position: Registered Nurse-Gastroenterology (GI) Clinic
Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age specific components. Responsible for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction. Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.

Responsible for providing competent, evidence space outpatient care, assigned to patients and oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistance as appropriate to the setting. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care, focus on patient transition through the continuum of patient care, patient and family education, patient self management after discharge and supporting factors that impact customer satisfaction. The nurse will assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competency, and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation.

Demonstrates leadership and delivering and improvement improving holistic outpatient care through collaborative strategies with others. Evaluate a practice in an ongoing process based on best evidence. Provides peers with informal constructive feedback for improvement. Fosters a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals. Contributes professional nursing perspective in discussions with the interdisciplinary team. Partners with others to affect change and produce optimal outcomes.

Supports colleagues through knowledge sharing to provide safe, quality outpatient nursing care. Shares, educational findings, experience, and ideas with peers. Questions outpatient clinical practices for the purpose of provided evidence based care. Participate and activities and strategies to sustain and evidence based practice culture.

Pay:
