Registered Nurse - Pre Admission Testing

Position Overview

United Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, the RN prepares patients for surgical and procedural care by completing comprehensive pre-admission assessments, reviewing medical histories, coordinating required testing, and identifying potential risks to ensure safe, efficient care transitions. The RN partners closely with providers, Ambulatory Surgery Center teams, and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient readiness and enhance the overall surgical experience.

• Complete comprehensive pre‑admission assessments.
• Review patient medical histories.
• Coordinate required testing and procedures.
• Identify potential risks and ensure safe care transitions.
• Collaborate with providers, Ambulatory Surgery Center teams, and interdisciplinary staff.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• At least one year of experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting.
• Preferred:
  Previous experience in an outpatient setting.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Current New York State RN license.
• Documentation of current AHA BLS within 30 days of employment.

Shift: Day rotational, hybrid schedule, no weekends or holidays.
Compensation: $33.63 – $50.45 per hour, depending on experience.
