General Surgery Outpatient APP

Position Overview

United Health Services Hospitals (UHS) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join an established outpatient General Surgery team in Binghamton, NY. The role involves working closely with a collaborative team of surgeons specializing in general, vascular, and trauma surgery.

• Conduct new and established patient visits in an outpatient setting, including comprehensive evaluations and ongoing care management.
• Perform patient consultations with thorough education on procedures and treatment plans.
• Provide postoperative care and follow‑up for surgical patients, monitoring recovery and addressing complications as needed.
• Coordinate patient communication and triage inquiries in collaboration with clinical and administrative team members.
• Perform wound care procedures, including complex dressing changes and wound VAC management.

• 1–2 years of NP/PA experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience as an APP or RN in a surgical setting preferred.
• Active New York State NP or PA license required.
• DEA registration and board certification required.

Binghamton, NY – approximately 2.5 hours north of New York City and 1 hour from Syracuse, NY.

Competitive starting salary of $136,000 to $152,000, with bonus incentives, a sign‑on bonus, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package, including malpractice insurance with tail coverage.
