Job Summary
Thriveworks is currently seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Johnson City, Tennessee.
CompensationThis is a Fee for Service (W2) position. Salary range is $61,000–$89,000 per year based on 15–20 clinical hours per week.
Pharmacological treatment:
Thriveworks does not push or incentivize the use of stimulant medications; stimulant options are available based on client symptoms and diagnosis, and prescribing decisions are left to the discretion of the clinician. Substance use disorders are not currently treated; referrals are made to in‑person providers if symptoms are too severe for telemedicine.
- Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner;
Board Certification required. - Master’s in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in the state.
- Understanding of AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR is a plus.
- Three years of experience is a plus; one year of psychiatry practice is required.
- Must be licensed and reside in Tennessee.
- Part‑time requires 15–20 hours availability per week.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations of clients via in‑person and telemedicine.
- Treat clients aged 14 and up.
- Prescribe medication to reduce mental health symptoms, as needed.
- Create and collaborate with clients on care plans.
- Complete and administer appropriate paperwork and assessment tools.
- Adhere to Thriveworks’ Clinical Practice Guidelines.
- Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients, programs, and services.
- Attend in‑person collaborator meetings at Thriveworks locations as required.
- Partially remote with limited visits for collaborator meetings.
- Remote medical assistants.
