Life Well Pharmacy and Cadence Laboratories operate three family-owned pharmacies in Tennessee and Virginia, alongside a CLIA-certified full-service reference laboratory in Johnson City, Tennessee. The Toxicologist will be responsible for conducting analytical testing, interpreting toxicological data, and supporting research initiatives using advanced LC‑MS instrumentation. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative toxicology analyses using LC‑MS and LC‑MS/MS platforms
  • Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods
  • Prepare and process samples following strict QA/QC guidelines
  • Interpret mass spectral data and prepare detailed reports
  • Maintain and troubleshoot LC‑MS instrumentation
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety practices, SOPs, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate results effectively
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Chemistry, Toxicology
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on LC‑MS experience (operation, maintenance, method development, and data interpretation)
  • Strong understanding of analytical chemistry, mass spectrometry principles, and toxicological testing
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
