Full-time Second Shift: Evenings/Weekends

This position is responsible for:

Serves as housing monitor; accepts and processes residents staying in lodge/shelter overnight; receives and receipts fees received from residents, if applicable; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift, ensuring safety, security, and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensure that lodge/shelter is maintained in neat and proper order.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures that all rooms are in proper order before and after the arrival of residents; checks fire equipment and ensures proper working order.
• Opens and closes the lodge/shelter doors at designated hours of operation, as needed
• Completes and assigns housekeeping and other tasks to residents when possible; ensures that clients perform assigned house duties in the proper manner; ensures compliance with house rules.
• Monitors the activities of the lodge/shelter residents ensuring safety and compliance with house rules; checks the security of all windows and doors; monitors and makes periodic rounds of the entire facility; records any unique situations occurring on assigned shift.

Physical Requirements and

Working Conditions:

Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light (less than 25 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Light mobility: duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting.

Work is performed in a lodge/shelter facility where there are little or no physical discomforts associated

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or G.E.D.

AND

One year experience performing security or social service work preferred,

OR

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
