Local CDL A Yard Driver

Lazer Logistics is hiring a Local CDL A Yard Driver to move trailers safely within high-volume distribution and manufacturing yards. In this role, you'll perform yard spotting, trailer moves, and shuttle runs using specialized yard trucks and technology. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, precise backing and docking, updating yard management systems, and following strict safety and communication procedures. You'll work closely with dispatch and warehouse teams in a stable, safety-focused environment with training, reliable schedules, and opportunities to grow into operations or leadership roles.

• Move, spot, and shuttle trailers within distribution and manufacturing yards
• Perform safe backing, docking, and trailer positioning to doors and staging areas
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of yard trucks and equipment
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and procedures
• Use yard management and/or electronic logging systems to update trailer status
• Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and guard staff via radio and standard protocols
• Report equipment issues or yard hazards promptly for resolution
• Maintain accurate move counts and basic paperwork as required
• Support a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
• Participate in ongoing safety meetings and training sessions
