Accounting Operations team within John Deere Financial Worldwide Headquarters, operating under the Accounting and Finance function. - Mission:
Support John Deere's financial operations by assisting with accounting close activities, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives to ensure accuracy and efficiency. - Tech Stack:
Microsoft Excel, data analytics and reporting tools
- Close Support:
Assist with monthly and quarterly accounting close activities, including performing account reconciliations and preparing supporting documentation. - Reporting & Entries:
Prepare and review journal entries, reports, and associated supporting schedules. - Process Enhancement:
Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at automating and streamlining accounting workflows. - Compliance & Controls:
Collaborate with Accounting Operations team members on projects related to controls, compliance, and financial reporting. - Data Analysis:
Utilize data analytics and reporting tools for various accounting tasks and insights.
- Background:
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a U.S. accredited college/university, holding sophomore, junior, or senior status. Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2027 or later. - Experience:
No specific prior work experience is required. Candidates must be available to work 16-20 hours per week during the academic year and 35-40 hours per week during the summer semester. The ability to commute to the Johnston, IA work location year-round is essential, as relocation assistance is not provided. - Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel. - Bonus:
Ideally, candidates will be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, although applicants from other fields may also be considered.
