As a Litigation Administrator for John Deere Financial working remotely or at the Worldwide Headquarters in Johnston, Iowa, you will research and determine strategic business objectives on incoming litigation accounts.
- Determine and direct a reasoned business strategy in collaboration with JDF in‑house counsel and local counsel to achieve cost‑effective outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with team members, local counsel, dealers, sales personnel, business units, and senior management.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather necessary information and insights for comprehensive understanding of complex financial situations.
- Research, incorporate, and communicate strategy impacted by equipment fair market value evaluations through JDF Asset Remarketing, John Deere Dealers, or third parties.
- Review, approve, and sign legal documents (complaints, affidavits, etc.) for filing and review, prepare and approve discovery requests associated with adverse litigation matters.
- Attend and effectively participate in mediations, depositions, be deposed, and testify at hearings or trials.
- Communicate legal spend, matter strategy, market trends, and dealer feedback to management, in‑house counsel, channel partners, sales personnel, business units, and applicable stakeholders.
- Evaluate and document the performance of local counsel to ensure compliance with established standards and business objectives, including recommendations to management and JDF in‑house counsel on continued use or termination.

Required Skills- 3+ years of experience with analytics, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- 3+ years of experience changing work activities quickly while maintaining focus on details.
- 3+ years of experience making reasoned business decisions and assessing risk in a timely manner in limited‑information situations.
- A self‑motivated, team‑oriented relationship builder who can collaborate confidently with stakeholders (teammates, counsel, dealers, customers, management).
- Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to speak with persuasive confidence.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 10%.
- Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and hands‑on experience using Microsoft Copilot.
- Knowledge of equipment (turf, agriculture, construction, forestry) and understanding of usage seasons and depreciation.
- Experience analyzing financials, cash flow, credit reports, etc., to assess collectability.
- Understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and litigation processes.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws relating to bankruptcy and repossession.
- Understanding of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) – Revised Article 9.
Ideally a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.

Annual salary: $67,692.00 – $ + benefits.
