Schedule

Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm

Primary Responsibilities
  • Enter prescriptions from intake to order completion and verify member/patient data.
  • Contact patients, pharmacists, and doctor's offices as a liaison for the pharmacy team.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely via phone and electronic methods to patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  • Contact patients to complete refill assessments, request payment information, establish delivery details, and set up treatment in the Ambulatory Infusion Suite and/or other outpatient facilities.
  • Access, input, and retrieve prescription and medical/lab information from computer system.
  • Verify whether medication is reimbursable, and resolve rejected claims.
  • Process prescription refills and interpret supply needs as related to various therapies.
  • Resolve customer issues, ensuring accurate information is provided.
  • Able to multitask and channel communication from various business partners, driving patient centric quality care.
  • Follow all State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality code of ethics.
  • Receive and replenish inventory/medication accurately by verifying quantity, lot number, expiration throughout multiple steps.
  • Reorder inventory/medication as needed based on usage and forecasting.
  • Manage inventory to reduce expiration losses through returns to wholesalers.
  • Track medication shipments for DSCSA compliance.
  • Monitor and manage recalled supplies and medications.
  • Physically count monthly inventory items and update quantity variances.
  • Collaborate with central OPS to best distribute and store overstocks/purchases of medications.
  • Ensure electronic inventory matches/reflects physical inventory on‑hand.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Iowa.
  • Intermediate level of experience with Windows PC applications including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work onsite at 10607 Aurora Ave. Urbandale, IA 50322, Monday through Friday with 8‑hour shifts between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB).
  • Pharmacy/prescription data entry experience.
  • Previous Home Infusion experience.
Pay and Benefits

The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 to $32.12 per hour based on full‑time employment.
