Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to ensure the timely and safe preparation of materials necessary for sampling. This role involves assisting with various tasks such as cleaning, handling, packaging, and storing seeds or samples, while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

• Ensure that all material necessary for sampling is prepared properly on time and in a safe manner.
• Assist with miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning, handling, packaging, and storing seeds or samples.
• Remain compliant with regulatory as well as company requirements.
• Operate proprietary equipment.
• Continually look for process improvement opportunities and help implement solutions.
• Take actions to ensure good laboratory practices are followed.
• Prioritize workload requirements and exercise good time management to ensure all work is completed on time.
• Perform physical repetitive tasks of the job.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Laboratory expertise
• Knowledge of chemistry and biology

• 1 year of relevant experience preferred

The position follows a schedule of Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

This is a Contract position based out of Johnston, IA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
