Direct Support Professional - Weekend

Join Child Serve as a Direct Support Professional. In this role you will support children and young adults with daily living and encourage their independence. You will work with supervisors, therapists, nursing staff, and families to develop and implement programs. Tasks include assisting with personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, community exposure, and other life skills.

The starting pay for this position is between $16–18.64 per hour with opportunities for advancement. There is an increased wage differential for weekend package hours of 120%. Staff will work 32 hours each week:

• Friday: 2pm–11pm
• Saturday: 6am–11pm
• Sunday: 6am–11pm

• Support children or young adults in developing independence in personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and other life skills.
• Provide transportation assistance as needed.
• Administer treatments and medications as appropriate, with knowledge of schedules and dosages.
• Facilitate community involvement through recreational events, shopping trips, volunteer opportunities, and other activities.

• Preferred experience working with children or adults with disabilities.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Willing and able to become an approved driver for Child Serve.
• Certifications such as Certified Medication Aide (CMA), Medication Manager, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) are helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
