Laboratory Technician

Requirement/Must Have:

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Plant Sciences, or a related field.

- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and a general understanding of scientific principles and laboratory practices.

- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in performing laboratory tasks.

- Excellent organizational, planning, and execution skills.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

- Experience with plant tissue culture and transformation methods in an industry setting preferred.

- Experience with light and fluorescent microscopy preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Assist technical personnel with routine laboratory operations, data collection, and information management in support of scientific research.

- Perform tasks according to established methods, standard operating procedures, and training provided by the work group.

- Support gene editing technology development pipeline through plant transformation and tissue culture activities.

- Maintain accurate records and organized workflows.

- Identify and resolve problems proactively.

- Execute tasks efficiently and contribute to a safe and productive laboratory environment.
