Research Investigator
Our client, a leader in agricultural research and plant sciences, is seeking a Research Investigator to join their team. As a Research Investigator, you will be part of the Plant Pathology Department supporting critical research projects focused on disease resistance, trait characterization, and product development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.

Johnston, IA
Pay Range: $30-32/hr.
What's the Job?
- Lead and execute plant pathology research projects in both field and controlled environment settings.
- Design, coordinate, and deliver experimental work with a focus on data quality, rigor, and timely completion.
- Identify challenges, adapt methodologies, and develop practical solutions to ensure project success.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining high standards of research output.
- Document methods, summarize results, and communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Plant Pathology, Plant Science, Agronomy, Biological Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in plant pathology research, disease phenotyping, or related agricultural sciences.
- Ability to independently lead and execute research projects in both field and greenhouse settings.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in evolving research environments.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across research, breeding, and technical teams.
