Greenhouse Technician

Our client, a leader in scientific research and laboratory operations, is seeking a Greenhouse Technician to join their team. As a Greenhouse Technician, you will be part of the research support team supporting scientific projects and laboratory activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

** Pay Range:**  $22.00/hour

** Shift:
** Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

** What's the Job?*
* + Assist technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine tasks in support of scientific research

+ Perform plant sampling, DNA extraction, and high-throughput PCR procedures

+ Manage laboratory inventory and sample documentation

+ Work across laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings to support research activities

+ Drive occasionally to support site-based operations

** What's Needed?*
* + Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, or related fields) preferred; candidates working toward a BS with relevant experience will be considered

+ At least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience in a research environment

+ Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR

+ Proficiency with basic computer programs like Microsoft Excel

+ Understanding of safety standards and use of PPE in laboratory settings
