Laboratory Technician

Our client, a leader in scientific research and laboratory operations, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the research support department supporting scientific research projects. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

** What's the Job?*
* + Assist technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine tasks to support scientific research.

+ Perform laboratory procedures such as plant sampling, DNA extraction, and high-throughput PCR.

+ Manage laboratory inventory samples and maintain accurate documentation of results.

+ Work in laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings to support research activities.

+ Follow safety protocols and environmental health standards to ensure a safe working environment.

** What's Needed?*
* + Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, or related fields) is strongly preferred; candidates working toward a degree with relevant experience will be considered.

+ At least 1 year of relevant experience working in a research laboratory environment.

+ Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR.

+ Proficiency with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.

+ Understanding of safety procedures and use of appropriate PPE.
