Laboratory Technician

Our client, a leader in scientific research and laboratory operations, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the research support department supporting scientific research. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Assist technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine tasks to support scientific research.

Perform laboratory procedures such as plant sampling, DNA extraction, and high-throughput PCR.

Manage laboratory inventory samples and maintain accurate documentation of results.

Work in laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings to support research activities.

Follow safety protocols and environmental health standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, or related fields) is strongly preferred; candidates working toward a degree with relevant experience will be considered.

At least 1 year of relevant experience working in a research laboratory environment.

Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR.

Proficiency with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.

Understanding of safety procedures and use of appropriate PPE.
