Job Overview
Brown-Forman Specialist (On & Off) is a hands‑on position that drives sales volume and brand visibility for Brown‑Forman’s portfolio. The role focuses on activating national brand platforms in local bars, restaurants, retail, and non‑traditional venues, working closely with distributors and hospitality professionals to achieve strategic sales growth.
Key Responsibilities• Develop and manage relationships with multicultural consumers and trade to support brand priorities and target market demographics.
• Communicate the essence of Brown‑Forman brands through program events, ensuring consistent brand positioning across all venues.
• Coordinate with local distributor brokers to facilitate target account programs and deliver excellent communication.
• Collaborate with marketing, field sales, and distributor representatives to manage on‑ and off‑premise promotions, activations, and special events.
Key Position Deliverables- Grow share of NABCA TDS for Brown‑Forman within the targeted account universe.
- Serve as the subject‑matter expert, understanding brand history, facts, and promotional requirements.
- Execute on‑ and off‑premise promotions, activations, special events, and B‑F programs.
- Schedule and assess event effectiveness, providing qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Manage sales to a key set of on‑ and off‑premise accounts (≈50) in target markets.
- Lead creative planning and execution of brand activations in non‑traditional spaces such as digital and in‑home environments.
- Integrate multicultural accounts into the target account list in alignment with demographics and brand priorities.
- Develop consumer‑facing activation plans with Field Marketing Managers to bring national brand platforms to life.
- Coordinate merchandise and POS delivery for brand promotion in key accounts.
- Strictly manage the activation budget, monitor expenses, and deliver ROI on spend.
- College degree preferred;
Marketing/Business experience preferred. - 2‑3 years industry experience, with extensive premium whiskey category knowledge a definite plus.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation required; extensive drive time within the market.
- Fluent in English; general computer knowledge and proficiency with multiple iPad programs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, training, and media handling skills.
- Confidence working in varied on‑ and off‑premise environments, from high‑end hotels to dive bars.
- Organized, ambitious, self‑starter with an outgoing, charismatic personality; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- In‑depth understanding of target consumers, spirit brand priorities, and the three‑tiered system of selling.
- Adaptable to non‑traditional work hours, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to lift 20+ pounds.
