• Due to the nature of the job, the candidate should be able to lift 50 pounds with assistance.
• Comfort working in warm, humid greenhouse conditions with year-round pollen exposure.

Experience:

• Two plus years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience supporting greenhouse operations preferred.
• Experience with plant care, pollination, and sanitation activities preferred.
• Experience working in agricultural, horticultural, plant science, or research environments preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily shoot bagging in corn pollination rooms.
• Perform tassel bagging and pollination of corn one to two times per week.
• Prepare and sort plant groupings with a high level of attention to detail.
• Transfer large plants on carts to correct room locations and designated positions within rooms.
• Perform routine greenhouse sanitation tasks, including discarding regulated material.
• Assist with plant care tasks such as cotton pruning.
• Drive a tug to move plants throughout the facility.
• Support daily greenhouse operations and research activities in a safe and compliant environment.

Should Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, horticulture, plant sciences, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in greenhouse or controlled environment operations preferred.
• Experience working with plant movement, pollination, and research support tasks preferred.
