Laboratory Technician

Our client, a leader in the agricultural research industry, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Johnston Sampling team supporting genotyping projects. The ideal candidate will have education or experience in science, demonstrate attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and strong collaboration skills.

Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Johnston, IA

Pay Range: $22/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

What's the Job?

• Ensure all sampling materials are prepared properly, on time, and in a safe manner.
• Assist with miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning, handling, packaging, and storing seed or samples.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Operate proprietary equipment used in sampling and processing.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement solutions.

What's Needed?

• No prior experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to perform physical, repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Good time management skills to prioritize workload effectively.
• Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
