Heritage Clubs International (HCI) is the only professional association in North America that is dedicated to the success of travel professionals who lead affinity groups all over the world. As a dynamic community HCI brings together group travel professionals that lead groups independently, but are also from financial institutions, continuing education, and non-profits. In addition, we work with destinations, and travel suppliers who believe in the power of group travel to build lasting relationships.

For decades, HCI has helped its members connect, grow, and create exceptional travel experiences through industry relationships, education, networking, and events. At its core, HCI is about people. This is a relationship-first, growth-focused role at the heart of the HCI community. Reporting to the VP of HCI, you’ll be responsible for helping grow something much bigger than a membership list. Through your role, you’ll help build a community that people genuinely want to be part of.

Your focus will be growing and strengthening HCI’s network of Group Leaders and industry partners while creating meaningful connections between the two. That means understanding our members, knowing what matters to them, identifying opportunities to bring the right people together, and making sure HCI consistently delivers value throughout the year.

Peer Group, HCI’s flagship annual conference, is where much of that community comes together in person. A big part of your role will be to work with our team to create an incredible, well-attended event that has a strong positive impact on the attendees. In the end though, HCI isn’t built around one event. The real opportunity for the person that takes on the role, is the ability to create connections and grow relationships throughout the year.

Success isn’t measured simply by how many people join or how many seats we fill. It’s measured by whether our Group Leaders and partners feel known, supported, connected, and excited to stay involved.

We’re not looking to build the biggest community. We’re looking to build one of the most valuable communities in the travel industry. And you’ll play a major role in making that happen..

• Own Group Leader and Partner membership from first inquiry through onboarding, engagement, renewal, and re-engagement
• Manage and grow a year-round community, not a once-a-year audience through monthly meetings, virtual trainings, email newsletters, digital community building, book club meetings, and member resources
• Grow membership and deepen participation
• Know the members. Follow up. Make sure new members plug in and existing members do not drift
