We are looking for a talented individual to join our Residential New Construction Team based in Providence as an Energy Rating Specialist serving all of Rhode Island. You will work with design and construction teams from initial project planning through final construction — performing energy modeling and field inspections through various stages of the construction process to support the delivery of CLEAResult’s portfolio of residential new construction services, including:

• HERS Ratings
• Energy Code Compliance
• Energy Star Homes
• DOE Efficient New Homes
• Passive House

• Review construction blueprints and plans.
• Generate energy modeling using REM‑Rate/EKOTROPE software.
• Visit sites during construction.
• Collect site data and perform diagnostic testing, including blower door and duct blaster.
• Produce documentation related to the progress, status, and outcome of each project, and prepare and submit required documents to verify code compliance, green certification, and rebate eligibility.
• Communicate technical concepts to contractors in support of energy efficiency and green specifications.
• Initiate outreach to potential clients to ensure program enrollment goals are met.
• Enroll clients in the program.
• Work with project teams to establish goals and identify available resources for each project.
• Support projects from initial modeling to final construction, and assist project teams with meeting their goals (energy savings, code compliance, green verification).
• Provide project teams with technical assistance and training to overcome barriers, achieve their goals, and secure applicable program incentives.
• Participate in ongoing training and education provided by CLEAResult to build solid technical knowledge of building science, diagnostic testing, and the latest industry developments.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Building Science, Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field); field experience may substitute for the degree for the right candidate.
• Experience in residential construction preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

$63,500.00 – $87,900.00 USD. Salary.
