New Era Enrichment Academy is currently seeking a dedicated, organized, and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our early childhood program.

The ideal candidate will ensure the center maintains full compliance with the Rhode Island Department of Human Services (DHS) licensing regulations, excels in Bright Stars quality rating benchmarks, and supports our teaching staff.

Position Overview

Schedule:

Full-Time (Regular shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM daily, with flexibility required to meet operational and staffing needs).

Responsibilities
  • 1) Regulatory Compliance:
    Maintain total operational compliance with RI DHS Child Care Licensing Regulations, RIDOH standards, and Bright Stars quality benchmarks. Ensure all files are accurate and audit-ready.
  • 2) Daily Operations:
    Manage daily opening procedures, staff schedules, and immediate coverage for absences to maintain strict staff-to-child ratios. Provide direct classroom coverage when necessary.
  • 3) Staff & Curriculum Support:
    Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff. Support the implementation of Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards (RIELDS).
  • 4) Family Engagement:
    Communicate effectively with families and staff, facilitate parent orientations, and promote a culturally responsive environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications (RI DHS & Bright Stars Compliant)

  • Language:
    Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in both Spanish and English (Required).
  • Education:

    Associate Degree (or higher) in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or a related field with a minimum of 12–18 approved college credits in ECE (Required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree and RIELDS certification preferred.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or administrative experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool setting.
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • 1. Background Clearance:
    Evidence of a cleared RI DHS Comprehensive Background Check (including fingerprinting and CANTS check).
  • 2. Education Verification:
    Official college transcripts and copies of diplomas.
  • 3. Medical Clearance:
    Immunization record per RIDOH regulations.
  • 4. Professional Registry:
    Active enrollment (or willingness to enroll) in the RI workforce registry (RISES).
  • 5. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete within 90 days of employment.
