HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER

• Must be certified to teach Biology.

Primary Role:

As a high school teacher, you will instruct students in Biology. You will be required to meet all Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) guidelines and state mandates.

As a high school teacher, you will be influential in students' lives, as students will apply what they learn to their future endeavors.

Performance Responsibilities:

As a high school teacher in the Johnston School District, you will put together informative and engaging lesson plans for your students. You will use a variety of visual aids, textbooks, creative projects, and technology to gain student involvement. As technology becomes an increasingly large part of education, high school teachers may be required to have and teach computer skills in accordance with RIDE guidelines.
