Special Education Teacher in Johnston, RI

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience providing special education services, preferably in a homebound or individualized learning environment
• Strong knowledge of specialized instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Ability to build rapport and foster a positive, supportive learning atmosphere
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to confidentiality and student privacy

• Deliver customized instruction to a homebound student based on the IEP and academic goals
• Conduct three 1-hour teaching sessions per week during the  school year
• Assess student progress and modify lessons as needed to meet learning targets
• Facilitate engaging lessons that encourage participation and learning
• Collaborate with families and related service providers to ensure a coordinated educational approach
• Maintain accurate records of instructional activities and student performance
