Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 care for a young woman with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community-based setting. This full-time role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about person-centered care and helping individuals achieve greater independence.
You will support her health, safety, and daily living both in a private home and during community activities, building a consistent and trusting relationship.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and assess the individual's health status; communicate observations to supervisor and family.
* Promote overall health and wellness through nursing best practices.
* Foster open, respectful communication with the person supported and their family.
* Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs.
* Assist with community outings and daily activities.
* Administer and track medications as prescribed.
* Monitor and document seizure activity.
* Accompany the individual to medical appointments as needed.
* Attend all required state and agency trainings.
Qualifications
* Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor's in Nursing).
* Valid Rhode Island RN license required.
* Proof of vaccinations in accordance with RIDOH guidelines.
Schedule & Pay
Full-Time 40 hours | 1st Shift
Flexible hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $39.00/hour
