We are looking to hire a school nurse to join our team. The school nurse is a key member of our team and is primarily responsible for providing our scholars with quality health services and connecting our families with community resources.

• Act as a proactive liaison between children, families and health care resources to access and coordinate care
• Administer first aid, medication, specialized medical treatment and health screenings
• Refer students who require further medical attention to needed treatment
• Assess situations involving students’ safety
• Maintain all health records and reporting procedures to external agencies to ensure compliance with established regulations
• Work as part of a school-wide team to encourage healthy living
• Implement health care plans for special education students, children with chronic health problems and/or 504 accommodation requirements
• Coordinate/Provide training on various health related subjects or policies (e.g. CPR/First Aid, disaster preparedness, health education, etc.) as needed
• Track and manage health data to identify trends, improve student health outcomes and reduce the spread of illness

• Demonstration of strong interpersonal judgement
• Self-motivated leader who can work independently as well as part of team
• Maturity, humility, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and a 'whatever it takes' disposition
• Bilingual, English and Spanish, strongly preferred

• Current State RN license + BA degree OR BS
• This role requires RIDE certification
