Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you'll have the opportunity to work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, your ability to establish retailer relationships, while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, as well as support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may have the opportunity to work with other products from other companies in the stores that you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00 to $17.00 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
- We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
- Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 7‑10 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology to communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys for required merchandising activities. - Holiday support:
Work additional days and extended hours during major holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. On certain holidays you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, including weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in installations and various tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Expect notification two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends. - Team support:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support other team members as needed in their territories.
This job requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. Work will be performed on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may need to climb stairs or step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Access to reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
