You will supervise and look after children in our creche and soft play area, making sure they are safe, engaged and happy while their parents and carers enjoy their visit. No two days are the same, and you will be the friendly face families remember.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…- Supervise children in the creche and soft play area, maintaining safe adult-to-child ratios at all times
- Welcome families, explain the rules of the play area and manage check-in and check-out procedures
- Lead and encourage age-appropriate play, games and activities
- Carry out regular safety checks of equipment and play spaces, and report any hazards or damage
- Keep the area clean, hygienic and tidy, including sanitising toys, equipment and surfaces
- Respond calmly and appropriately to accidents, illness and behavioural issues, and complete incident records accurately
- Follow all safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, and allergy/dietary policies
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, carers and colleagues
Essential
- A valid PVG check
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, such as creche worker, soft play attendant, nursery assistant or childcare assistant
- A good understanding of child safety and safeguarding
- Warm, patient and confident with children of all ages
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and school holidays as required
Desirable
- A childcare qualification
- Experience working in a hospitality or leisure setting
We pay a fair wage – with our hourly pay being higher than the Government rates, at a minimum. Your earnings will be further enhanced by our 10% service charges and other tips that guests leave – with 100% of tips being retained by the team.
