What you’ll be doingAs our Deputy General Manager, you will:
- Support the General Manager in leading daily hotel operations, taking full responsibility in their absence
- Oversee and support department heads across Reception, Front of House, Housekeeping, Weddings & Events, Spa and the Health club.
- Champion the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, particularly around our wedding and events. Work closely with the Wedding team to ensure flawless execution of functions, from intimate gatherings to full wedding celebrations ensuring guests leave wanting to return
- Manage guest relations, resolving escalated complaints promptly and professionally
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and controlling departmental costs
- Monitor service standards, health & safety, training and compliance across the venue
- Support recruitment, training, and development of the heads of departments and their teams
- Support with yearly activities including progression planning, appraisals & team recognition
- Liaise with ownership, suppliers, and external stakeholders as required
- Lead by example, fostering a positive, high-performing team culture
- General management duties relating to your role
We are looking for candidates with a hospitality background and experience at a deputy general manager, operations manager or equivalent level.
