Job Title:
Field Technician
Support commercial-scale steam turbines and power generation projects by engaging in field execution, equipment removal and installation, mechanical fabrication, and tubing. This role is customer-facing and requires 20-30% travel, with the rest of the time spent in the shop.
Responsibilities- Support the installation and start-up of steam turbines.
- Execute equipment removal and installation tasks.
- Perform mechanical fabrication and tubing work.
- Work directly with customers at active facilities.
- Follow drawings and schematics accurately.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field.
- Proficiency in tubing and mechanical fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with basic control systems and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hydraulics, wiring, and industrial power systems.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on fabrication experience.
- Exposure to control and detection systems for industrial equipment.
- Comfortable performing basic 24V wiring and terminations.
- Willingness to travel and work in industrial environments.
- No degree required; technical training or certifications are a plus.
Work is conducted in industrial facilities, involving both field and local work. The role is customer-facing and offers exposure to industrial steam turbine and power generation systems. There are travel opportunities and skill development across mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems, while working directly with experienced engineering leadership. This is a stable, long-term opportunity with a respected engineering firm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loveland, CO.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
