HIM Manager/Coder

Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital is a state‑of‑the‑art inpatient facility providing specialized care for patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic conditions, and other complex medical issues. Our expert team is passionate about restoring independence and improving quality of life through compassionate, high‑quality care.
The HIM Manager/Coder is part of the hospital’s leadership team, working closely with the CEO and Clinical Directors.
Successful candidates will enjoy working both independently and collaboratively with a team of clinical professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide expertise in the areas of coding and classification systems to healthcare providers throughout our hospital, and help drive improvements of reimbursement and the revenue cycle.
- Responsible for timely coding of charts in accordance with the current principles of ICD‑10 and AHA coding guidelines.
- Support the Health Information Services Department through a variety of clerical, technical, and related support services.
- Perform other daily duties within the Health Information Management Services department as assigned.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of HIM department personnel.
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient or outpatient coding experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ICD‑10 coding guidelines.
- CPC, CCS, CIC, RHIT, or RHIA certification via AHIMA or AAPC.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It’s not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Minimum Salary: USD $31.71/Hr.
Maximum Salary: USD $37.90/Hr.
