As an LPN on our behavioral health units, you provide hands-on care that helps patients feel safe, respected, and supported throughout the night. Your calm presence, keen observation, and clinical judgment make a meaningful difference when patients need reassurance and stability most.
** How You Will Make a Difference
*** Conduct focused assessments and promptly communicate changes in patient condition to the RN or provider.
* Administer medications, including long-acting injectables, while performing routine treatments and safety checks with accuracy and care.
* Support crisis intervention through therapeutic communication, de-escalation techniques, grounding strategies, and effective milieu management.
* Assist with admissions, belongings searches, vital signs, lab coordination, and discharge preparation.
* Maintain timely, accurate EMR documentation and reinforce patient and family education.
* Ensure continuity of care overnight through vigilant observation, proactive support, and thorough documentation.
* Manage after-hours admissions and urgent patient needs while preparing comprehensive handoff communication for the day team.
** What We’re Looking For**
* • Current LPN license; psychiatric experience preferred.
* • BLS certification; CPI/PMAB or equivalent de‐escalation training (or obtained after hire).
* • Team‐first mindset and reliability across 12‐hour shifts.
