QC Technician - DAY SHIFT

Gathers and tests products for quality control purposes. Requires interaction with work groups and other departments at the primary work location. Demonstrates competency for all on-the-job activities that may affect product safety, legality, and/or quality.

• Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, evaluates ingredients and products at various production stages.
• Obtains samples of ingredients/products at regular intervals.
• Evaluates samples for weight, color, bake, etc.
• Performs microbiological tests.
• Routinely makes recommendations for processing.
• Originate and maintain accurate records.
• Checks metal detectors.
• Performs mathematical calculations on weight and logs information on required paperwork.
• Maintains flour-tailing reports.
• Trains new Lab Technicians II as necessary.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas.
• Practices and complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and work rules.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervision.
• Ensures that all internal and external food safety and quality policies are followed.
• Complies with Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.).
• Performs other duties deemed integral by management, including adherence to work schedules and attendance policies.

• One (1) year of previous experience in a similar Quality Assurance lab.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Salary Range: $25.40 per hour.
• Day Shift: Thursday–Saturday and rotating Wednesdays, 5:00 am – 5:00 pm.
• Additional $2 per hour on weekends.
