Manufacturing Engineer IManufacturing Engineer I organizes work through an in‑house technology platform, collecting and communicating data, estimating, and playing a key role in productivity, quality, and safety. The role leverages knowledge of product design, fabrication methods, manufacturing techniques, and quality control standards.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities- Continuing Education – Demonstrate ability to continuously learn the attributes of Mechanical Construction, Manufacturing and LEAN processes, and estimating/productivity to help the Metalworks team achieve operational goals.
- Safety and Quality – Learn and support safety and quality programs, assisting staff in executing safety and quality events.
- Culture – Be the best version of oneself in alignment with USE Company Holdings Cultural Norms.
- Performance (technical abilities) –
- Facility support – Assist office leadership in researching and solving operational challenges related to facility and grounds.
- Project organization – Communicate and interpret project information for timely, accurate data distribution.
- Estimating – Use standard labor tables (MCAA + SMACNA) to generate labor estimates, identifying and pricing non‑standard work activities.
- B.S. degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
- 1 or more years of job‑related experience.
- General knowledge of commercial/industrial mechanical systems, fabrication, and installation.
- General knowledge of manufacturing operations is a plus.
- Handles basic issues and refers complex issues to higher‑level staff.
- Knowledge of a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to establish and analyze metrics.
- Keen ability to identify and solve problems.
- Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
- Strategic thinking, effective problem‑solving skills, and a “One Company” focus.
- Effective time management and prioritization.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and delivery of results.
- Self‑motivation and continuous learning in controls industry.
- Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously.
- Clear communication and sound judgment.
- Work under pressure.
- Attention to detail, specifications, and quality standards.
- Evaluation of options to choose the best course of action.
- Effective conveyance of information and technical guidance.
- Detail‑oriented; able to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Work in manufacturing floors, offices, job sites, etc.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding, monitor use, phone use; occasional climbing, reaching, stooping, and lifting.
- Occasional flight, overnight stays, and road travel required for the regional role.
- Compensation range: $67 K – $92 K per year (good faith estimate). Final offer based on internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
- Year‑end bonus based on company and/or individual performance, paid time off, health, dental, and vision plans, matching retirement contributions, and matching 529 contributions.
