Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep

What You’ll Do- Process customer transactions efficiently, manage payments (cash, check, credit), balance the register drawer, and promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card.
- Assist firearm sales and compliance, including NICS background checks, gun room housekeeping, and accurate completion of Form 4473.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, guiding shoppers through the store, escorting guests, and maintaining an organized, welcoming environment.
- Solve problems on the fly, using math, Microsoft Office, and communication skills to calculate discounts, handle multi‑step processes, and perform physical tasks such as carrying inventory and moving up and down stairs.

- Skills:
basic math and communication essential. - Physicality: medium work – comfortable standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Education and experience:
high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience preferred. - Must be at least 18 years old.
- Hours:
average 40–42 per week. Mix of opening shifts (9:00 AM–7:00 PM) and up to two closing shifts (12:00 PM–9:00 PM) with one scheduled day off per week. - Weekends: every other weekend. Saturdays 9:00 AM–9:00 PM, Sundays 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
- Pay: base hourly wage starting at $19.50 hour.
