Responsibilities- Perform connects, disconnects, upgrades, downgrades, and relocations; install and remove equipment such as converters.
- Execute basic installation of all necessary cable wiring (interior and exterior) and hardware from the tap to the customer’s equipment for single‑ and multi‑family service.
- Handle burial of underground broadband facilities using excavation, hand‑digging, conduit placement, and hardline pulling.
- Follow quality control guidelines and comply with regulations such as OSHA, FCC, NEC, and NESC.
- Ensure proper signal levels and picture quality on all television sets.
- Record system, drop, and leakage data on work orders, surveys, and referrals.
- Educate customers on service usage, additional services, and equipment operation.
- Maintain, clean, and secure assigned vehicle and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Compliance with TDS attendance guidelines.
- Successful completion of customer‑specific requirements, including background checks.
- Availability for on‑call/standby duties, occasional travel, and overtime.
- Completion of all components of the Safety Course curriculum.
- Compliance with DOT requirements for vehicles weighing >10,000 lbs.
- Strong work ethic and reliable, responsible behavior.
- Practical knowledge of computer applications.
- Familiarity with company products and services.
- Proven organizational skills and multitasking ability.
- Excellent customer service and sales communication skills.
- Capability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Physical ability to dig, lift, and climb; ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Successful completion of the SCTE Broadband Premise Install test within the first 3 months.
Requires standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing, and climbing. May lift up to 50 pounds routinely and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Work may be outdoors or in mechanical/equipment rooms, with potential for extreme weather.

Pay Range$22.62/Hr. – $33.94/Hr.
